Welcome to At the Market, your place to browse what’s in season in the Land of Oaks and Roses.
I didn’t know how much I needed a cold but not freezing coat until I found the one I’m wearing now.
You know when you’re in a jean/barn jacket and it’s not enough to keep you warm but a puffer will have you sweating by 1pm? That’s what this quilted liner is for. I’ve been wearing it everyday from early morning when it’s in the 40s to late afternoon when it’s in the 60s. And there’s another reason I’ve fallen in love with it: it has two big pockets that easily fit my kid’s water bottles (and more) + two secret side pockets behind those big ones for my phone. I’ve left the house without a bag with kids because of this coat. A true joy.
We’re reaching that point in the season where it feels potentially silly to buy a Fall coat (FWIW, I think barn coats will be just as relevant in the Spring.) But this coat will become a layering piece under my puffer in the coldest part of winter. I obviously love the one I have but here are three more great options I love too:
One Last Thing
I added three discount codes to the library this week:
Daily Elements (I’m switching to this from AG1. Giving to my kids too!)
Ursa Major (a longtime favorite)
Roundabout Kids (founded by a reader here!)
Enjoy and see you next week!
The jacket looks great on you🩷
