I wore a skirt last weekend that made me feel like me, as I am today. It wasn’t an item from my pre-pregnancy era that fits again. It wasn’t something I bought to accommodate for the ever evolving needs of pregnancy/postpartum/breastfeeding. I picked it out as the person I am today (thank you Toast!) and didn’t realize how special that would feel.

I want all my clothes to make me feel like this skirt did: creative, at ease and exactly my age in a way that makes me love my age. I bent over to hug and pick-up kids without the fear that naked body parts would escape. I ate whatever I wanted and didn’t feel the urge to suck in. It happened to be a warm day, but it would have worked just as well with warm tights and boots. Here are three more versions of this silhouette to try:
