Hi, and welcome to Land of Oaks and Roses! If you don’t know me yet, I’m Olivia. I write this newsletter, edit a small shop and live life with my husband and two kids in Maplewood, New Jersey.
I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things. My perspective is that the things you find beautiful aren’t random. They speak to who you are. And what you need. That feeling of being drawn to something is a guidepost that’s yours to explore no matter how messy your life is (trust me mines messy too!)
Beauty isn’t something you earn when you’re good enough. Or successful enough. Or anything enough. Beauty is your birthright. You’ll find a lot of it here.

I wore this jacket for my own family photos after being inspired by the above shoot. But I’ve also worn it to drop-off, a birthday, on a hike, out to dinner… It’s an everywhere jacket.

I haven’t been excited about luxury fashion news in a long time, but I’m so excited about Grace Wales Bonner becoming the Creative Director of Hermès menswear. Not to sound like Devil Wears Prada, but, if you don’t know who she is and bought a pair of Sambas in the last five years it’s because of her :) I can’t wait to see what she does at Hermès.
