I know what this week is like, so today’s newsletter is dedicated to getting you to the holiday finish line.
Below are my favorite last minute gift ideas for anyone left on your list, or anyone else seeing “weather delay” on their tracking pages like I currently am. I’m giving you both grown-up and kid solutions to keep in your back pocket should you need them:
Annual Memberships
Think museums, science centers, zoos, art places and more. It’s good for all ages, and it’s something kids use and enjoy for an entire year!
Classes
A grown-up version of the above. There’s something so special about noticing what brings someone joy, and giving them the opportunity to explore more of that thing (the best kind of escapism!) There’s something here for everyone, or find something local.
Subscriptions
Is now the perfect time to tell you that you can gift someone a paid subscription to this newsletter? One of you described it like this: "I just can’t remember the last time I was so moved. And felt so seen. So, thank you for that. Truly.” Gift it here!
Refills
What you’re really giving is the gift of taking something off someone’s to-do list. If you know someone well, you can setup a reoccurring delivery of their favorite face wash, grocery order, cleaning supplies (fyi this kills norovirus!) and more.
Sending you so much love as you cross the finish line! I hope you get to enjoy your own magic as much as everyone around you does <3
See you next week!
Holiday Your Way

Claire also happens to be someone who grows her own basil and flowers and more. She’s a beautiful host. Between the two of us, there’s high potential for holiday mag…
Wintering with Kids
Hibernating comes very naturally to me. I love slowing down and staying in. This isn’t an age related phenomenon. When I was in college I spent many nights in while my friends were at whatever club was best that week. I remember someone telling me that if I don’t go out more I’ll regret it when I’m older. So far, no regrets. Being cozy and quiet at home…
Our Capacity for Joy
I recently took my kids out to lunch. To my surprise, they both sat in their chairs the whole time! It was a first. We shared bites of each other’s orders, laughed at each other’s jokes, said hi to strangers and watched birds fly by. It was the most joyful lunch I can ever remember having. Nothing particularly special happened though. It was really just…
