10 Things I Love: Spring V2
A flower's color story, what women want, an under $25 bag and more things I love this Spring.
Welcome to 10 Things I Love, our treasure hunt through the seasons in the Land of Oaks and Roses.
Spring is here. More light. More birdsong. More energy. Ancient wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine to Ayurveda tells us that Spring is a time of letting go and welcoming a new chapter. Here are 10 things with this spirit:
First on the list is the color story of this flower! It’s called a pink-cupped daffodil. My kids and I found it in early Spring, and I’m still thinking about how the colors manage to be both soothing and energy giving at the same time.
It’s been a decade since I switched my shampoo and conditioner but I’m officially a Roz devotee. The (clean) scent is meant to evoke the coast. I love how it makes my hair look, and it really feels like fresh energy every time I shower. Code OliviaW15 for 15% off, which is working on top of the bundle discount
I dare you not to enjoy this little snippet of design history. It will lift your spirits in three minutes.
I started this book on Spring Break and I’m loving it so far. To me, it’s about what women want, which is a subject I’m never tired of.
I’ve written about them before but I’m living my life in these jeans. They give me that fresh and new feeling but with the ease of a boyfriend jean. Code Olivia15 for 15% off

Next week, I’m talking about the mental gymnastics of being a creative person in the world of motherhood, exhaustion and overwhelm with writer and editor Heidi Fiedler! I’ve gotten so many questions about starting Substacks and I want to answer them in a deeper way + with the help of an expert! How do we do it when we’re so tired? When we have so many responsibilities? When we don’t know if we’ll like what comes out? And more! This conversation is part of my How We Grow series for paid subscribers. If you want to read it, you can upgrade your subscription below. Otherwise, I’ll be back with a free story the following week!
With much love,
Olivia
